The 2021 Infiniti QX80 release date is scheduled for June of this year. Besides this, we don’t know many details, but we expect the details to start streaming soon.

Some of the novelties to expect include an updated forward collision mitigation system, LED headlights, refreshed front and interior styling, a new Limited package, and a new in-black interior trim. The QX80 might be an unusual nameplate if you haven’t been following Infiniti’s new naming formula. The QX80 was initially known as QX50 and later on as QX, which was the Infiniti’s reference to its largest SUV.

And despite the changes to its nameplate, Infiniti’s QX80 continues to be one of the most sought after luxury SUV in the market. The 2021 QX80 returns almost unchanged from the previous model.

Its V8 engine returns, as is its power output which provides quicker acceleration and a desirable towing capacity. Additionally, the vehicle has a stout off-roading capability which outmatches most of its rivals.

Engine Specs – 2021 Infiniti QX80

Motivating the redesigned 2021 Infiniti QX80 is a 5.6L V8 powerplant able to crank out 400 horsepower and 413 pounds of torque. The standard transmission system is the 7-speed auto transmission system, as is the RWD. The four-wheel-drive system is provided as an option.

When the 2021 Infiniti QX80 is properly equipped, buyers should expect the vehicle to tow up to 8,500 pounds. Also available as an option is the auto-leveling rear suspension system.

During our own QX80 test drive, the vehicle was able to accelerate to 60 mph from standstill in 6.8 seconds, which is impressive by conventional standards. According to EPA stats, the vehicle should be able to return 14/20/16 mpg in the city/highway/combined.
