Exterior Changes

Well the thing with the exterior of the 2021 Honda CR-V is that it has been planned to be quite exciting compared to the previous ones. This is going to be the fourth-generation model so it is about time that this vehicle gets some excitement to it on the exterior of it.

The former models were largely criticized for its conservative shape which many have regarded as even boring and as not something appealing that they would appreciate driving in. 2012 was far from bold and this is something that Honda was planning to address for the future.

As we are yet to see something happening from this model we have seen the Pilot get a new bolder look last year and we assume this is the way they are planning to take the 2021 CR-V.

The latest 2021 Honda CR-V is going to take a page out of the Honda Pilot book and adopt a much bolder and exciting look. There are going to be some parts that are being borrowed from the Honda HR-V which is going to bring a sportier element to the exterior of this one.

The greatest expectations are that the vehicle is going to enhance the wheelbase and expand it beyond the current 103.1 inches. This will add more legroom to the passengers but the overall length will not be increased so expect the same type of dimensions except the wheelbase.

2021 Honda CR-V Interior Update

We are looking at a much higher trim level for the inside of the 2021 Honda CR-V model. Much of it is going to improve and with the added legroom and the spacing, there are going to be some added technological points of equipment that are going to expand the overall offer for the car. The upscale look is actually achieved with the added features that the car gets, some of them are going to be passed down from the higher trims and are going to be featured on this one.

One of the features that this car gets is the Display Audio system with dashboard touchscreen and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The front seats are heated, there is a dual-zone automatic climate control added, power driver and passenger seats as well and heaters in the rear seats also. Honda Sensing suite of driver-assists has been introduced last year and will be kept here as well as it has proven to be one of the more interesting features.

It includes forward-collision alert and automatic braking, lane-departure warning and self-correcting steering, adaptive cruise control to maintain a set distance from traffic ahead and many things more. Thus, we get one of the safer cars currently available in the market.

Under the hood of the 2021 Honda CR-V, the confirmed offer is 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder which is actually a similar powertrain from the latest Honda Civic model. This one manages to churn out 174 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, but there is also the  2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine option that manages to come with an output of 185 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque.

Honda might offer two engine variants in this stage with one as an optional choice but the latest rumors state that there is the  2.0-liter 4-cylinder rated at 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque also up for contention as it might also get a chance to appear as one of the optional variants for the car.
