2021 Fiat 500 review

2021 Fiat 500 Release Date, Review and Specs

The 2021 Fiat 500 is one of the most useful small vehicles on the market that are going to bring some class and a great choice when it comes to a personal car but does not have the required fuel economy that you would expect from a vehicle this size. Actually there are a lot of pros going for this car, like having a great two seat configuration, a variety of standard features and a very distinctive styling that is going to be very likable even for the base model.

The inside of the car has a lot of newly innovative features added to its mix, like the all new 5-inch toucscreen, an optional navigation display and a shuffled optional feature list. This car does manage to offer us decent fuel economy for the current market but its greatest advantage is the equipment it adds and the setup it offers to the buyers.

This is going to be the sixth year the Fiat 500 is being produced and is being advertized as combination of exquisite combination of Italian flare and galore. All of this is presented into a vehicle which is sporty and is being offered in more trim levels.

2021 Fiat 500 side view

Beside the somewhat shabby fuel economy there are some other flaws the vehicle is presented with, like poor top-down visibility, lethargic acceleration and perhaps cramped head-and legroom area but when we take all into account it is still a good model and a very nice vehicle indeed.

Available Trims

There are going to be a few trims available this time for the 2021 Fiat 500 vehicle. Actually buyers are going to be offered a total of six trims to choose from, Pop, Easy, Sport, Turbo, Lounge and the most plush of them all the Abarth trim. As there is going to be a convertible option also this one is going to be offered in a few different body trims as well, namely Pop, Easy, Lounge, and Abarth as well.

The 2021 Fiat 500 vehicle is going to be available with a lot of new equipment which is going to be its selling point. What Fiat manages to offer with this model is a lot of points of equipment that may come in handy in a lot of different ways. The Pop trims comes equipped with a 5” touchscreen display, a 50/50-split folding rear seatbacks, Bluetooth audio and phone connectivity, air-conditioning, a leather wrapped steering wheel, a height-adjustable driver seat, a six-speaker sound system, cloth upholstery and full power accessories.

The Easy trim adds some new parts of equipment that build up on the previous ones. This option fills you in with a a six-speaker Alpine audio system, some cloth upholstered seats and a 7” color driver information display.

The Sport hatchback option gives you more sporty details for instance  a sport steering wheel and a racing wide inside, but the changes are more noticeable on the outside than on the inside with this trim.

The Turbo version gives us the base audio system but adds different options that expand the vehicle’s usefulness. These include upgraded cloth upholstery, leather-wrapped shift knob, bigger brakes and some unique points that are much more useful for the exterior of the car.

The Lounger focuses on the comforts of the car as it brings some different kinds of added amenities. With a navigation system, a fixed glass roof. the Alpine sound system,  automatic climate control and many other amities this is the most equipped model of the 2021 Fiat 500.

But the most top of the line model is the Abarth which has all the top of the line amenities that are brought to its interior. The model is distinctive both on the inside and on the outside and the interior is fitted with some top of the line pieces of equipment that you can enjoy for a higher price but a price well worth spending.

The outside of the car brings also some tweaks and you can recognize each 2021 Fiat 500 from each other. The new car does not bring a whole lot of different type of a design but actually offers us a lot new in terms of the equipment as well. There are some unique types of tweaks added to each different car that models the car in a whole new light. The base trim actually offers the least amount of new and added features that makes the difference with the previous model almost unrecognizable. But there are other factors that come into play here which you will notice once you get inside the car.

Other trims add different types of wheels options and the base level has the 15-inch ones as well as the Easy trim. The 16-inch ones are available for the Sport and higher levels. The greatest difference for the Sport hatchback are the  red-painted brake calipers and a sport-tuned exhaust system which makes a lot of difference for the model. The Turbo includes a gloss-black exterior lighting trim LED running lights which combine with a more powerful engine this model has. The Lounger uses a chrome exterior a retro-styling, unique paint color, specialized wheels and some retro emblems. Finally the top of the line Abarth an overall sportier look to it which is going to be very unique compared to the other ones.

First of all, what will make the buyers of the 2021 Fiat 500 happy is the fact that they include a front wheel drive system which is going to be combined with at five-speed manual transmission system which come as a standard option for this model. And when we combine it with the engines that are offered we get a pretty decent setup. The base option is the 1.4L engine with an output of 101 hp and 98 pounds of torque which is available for the  Pop, Easy, Sport and Lounge trims. The EPA ratings for they model are measured at 31/40/34 mpg.
