2021 Hyundai Sonata Release Date, Review and Specs

The new 2021 Hyundai Sonata is definitely the vehicle you are looking for if you want a midsize sedan that is a host to features such as an easy-to-drive demeanor, adequate passenger space, tons of standard and optional features, a solid build quality, easy-to-use touchscreen interface, a smooth ride quality, and whisper-quiet cabin. It’s among our list of favorites in this class.

2021 Hyundai Sonata Release Date & Price

Hyundai is yet to make confirmations on when the Sonata will be offered and for how much. This however hasn’t stopped speculations from cropping in almost every automotive quarter, with the most seemingly credible report indicating that the Hyundai Sonata will go for sale sometime this fall or early 2021. The base Sonata sedan price is expected to start from an MSRP of around $21,000. Leasing is the other option.

If you’ve reading enough industry reports, you probably know that crossovers are easily outpacing family sedans as the preferred mode of transport for the American family. This isn’t news however as the trend has been catching up slowly but steadily over the past decade given the versatility of crossovers. But despite this fact, it seems somebody forgot to brief Hyundai about this fact as the “A” rated Hyundai Sonata’s sales surpassed two of Hyundai’s crossovers combined.

Now that we’ve got your attention, we guess now you are interested to learn more of what the Sonata is all about. While the 2021 Hyundai Sonata is yet to be rated by the automotive industry, there’s no doubt that it will continue with the brand’s long history of success in its class. It features several improvements on both its interior and exterior thereby offering its would-be users an ever more exciting value proposition than before.

Most of the changes are available on its interior. the infotainment system is perhaps one area that has received the most changes, with Hyundai offering it an upgraded seven-inch infotainment screen that the automaker says is more intuitive, offers better graphics, and, by virtue of its size, reduces input errors significantly. Just like the one it is replacing, it comes with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity. Both are upgraded and are much easier to use than before.

The Blue Link system offers a length list of features that include some like destination search, a navigation system, automatic emergency contact notification, remote ignition, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot monitoring with rear-cross traffic alerts.

Besides the illustrious 2021 Hyundai Sonata changes on its infotainment system, the list doesn’t stop there. The seats’ upholstery has been upgraded and now feels better and refined. Throw in the smooth ride quality paired with some athleticism and you’re definitely assured the latest 2021 Hyundai Sonata won’t feel like your grandpa’s Oldsmoboat.

Lest you think it lacks competition, the midsize sedan segment offers a plethora of options such as the newly updated “A” rated Honda Accord, Ford Fusion, Toyota Camry, Mazda 6, and the Chevrolet Malibu.
