With its feature-laden interior, and refined interior, the fresh 2021 Chevrolet Colorado promises to be a very appealing option to a full-size truck or a mid-size pickup. Some of its strengths include plenty of high-tech features, comfortable ride, maneuverable size, and fuel-efficient engines. Its release date is set for this fall.
A first for the 2021 Colorado include an upgraded driver information display for both the Z71 and LT models, and an optional diesel four-cylinder engine. Also, the Apple CarPlay is now supported by the MyLink touchscreen display.
Many rejoiced when the current generation model debuted two years ago. It was appealing in comparison with older rivals in its class; offered a thriftier cabin that came chock full of upscale technologies; and had fuel-sipping engines. For 2021, things have gotten even better. For instance, the 2021 model comes with a diesel engine that not only promises performance, but also saves you some bucks at the pump.
The engine tidbits might not sound so impressive. After all, the output stands at 181 hp. What sweetens the deal, though, is the amazing 369 pounds of torque, which is far more the output you can get with the petrol V6. For starters, that torque means that you handle more towing jobs with your Colorado while still enjoying a stronger and smoother experience.
Another upgrade worth a second mention is the Apple CarPlay smartphone integration that now features the MyLink infotainment interface. This, according to Chevy, should make any tech-savvy user excited. The full-size Silverado is also set to get the connectivity for 2021.
If you’ve been shopping in this segment, you’ll probably come across other alternatives. Chief among them is the Toyota Tacoma 2021, it comes with a superior approach angle, higher ground clearance, and a real-mountain goat. Also, its technology offerings have gone a bit higher. Other options include the Dodge’s RAM 1500, and 2021 Nissan Frontier. However, most people should find the street-based Colorado pleasing and enjoyable with its diverse talent galore.
