2021 Chevrolet Traverse review

The 2021 Chevrolet Traverse is made for you if you’re looking for a big SUV able to shuttle lots of cargo and people. Besides the utility functions, it offers plenty of features for the money and is pleasant to drive. Keep reading the review below for important updates concerning the newest Traverse.

2021 Chevrolet Traverse Release date & Price

Chevy says the new Traverse should be expected sometime late this summer (2016). Pricing has already been announced for the new trim models, here are the details: base LS – $28,700, LT – $34,100, and the top-of-the-line 2021 Chevrolet Traverse Premier – $42,045.

2021 Chevrolet Traverse Review

The new 2021 Chevrolet Traverse redesign has brought about several changes that are meant to further the standing of the Traverse in its class despite facing a serious competition from some of its all-rounded foes. Some few years ago, if someone needed a big SUV with a standard eight-seating capacity and a humongous cargo bay, the only choices available were either a minivan or a massive truck-based SUV. Fast forward to today and you find a market awash with multiple choices each with its own strengths. What doesn’t however change is the ample passenger and cargo space, and some bit of off-roading capability.

Beneath the hood, the new 2021 Chevrolet Traverse comes with a standard 3.6L gasoline V6 engine that Chevy says offers an output of 281 horsepower @6,300 rpm and 266 pounds-feet of torque @3,400rpm. And even in spite of its 4,713 pounds of curb weight, it still manages to offer laudable fuel economy ratings of about 17/24 mpg in the city/highway cruising.

2021 Chevrolet Traverse interior

Besides the serious power available, 2021 Chevrolet Traverse interior is also another are that Chevrolet capitalized most of their efforts on. The interior is cavernous and its impressive 40.4-foot turning circle allows for an unwieldy feel in compact parking spaces. Furthermore, it boasts of enviable crash test scores and offers a comfortable ride quality.

Anyone shopping in this segment has several choices available to check out. Some of these include the Ford Explorer, Hyundai Santa Fe, and the Toyota Highlander.

Four core trims, as of this writing, are offered for the 2021 Chevrolet Traverse: LT, Premier, and LS. Both the LS and the LT are further broken down into sub-trims. Some of the standard accessories available for the entry-level Traverse LS model include a front and rear air-conditioning, a 6.5” touch screen display, two additional USB charge-only ports, a USB audio interface, Bluetooth connectivity, split-folding second- and third-row seats, a telescopic-and-tilt steering wheel, cruise control, a CD player, a six-speaker sound system, automatic headlights, roof rails, seventeen-inch steel wheels, and a rear spoiler.

Exterior Chevrolet Traverse colors: Iridescent Pearl Tricoat, Champagne Silver Metallic, Silver Ice Metallic, Mosaic Black Metallic, Tungsten Metallic, Blue Velvet Metallic, Siren Red Tintcoat, and Summit White.

Upgrading to the 2021 Chevrolet Traverse 1LT trim model gets you features such as a leather-wrapped steering wheel, rear parking sensors, occupant-protection airbag, eighteen-inch alloy wheels, foglights, remote start, an eight-way power driver seat, and heated exterior mirrors.

The Traverse 2LT model adds all the above features plus heated front seats, an automatic tri-zone climate control, a rearview auto-dimming mirror, a 10-speaker Bose audio system, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, a power liftgate, rear-seat audio controls, and Internet radio app integration.

The 2021 Chevrolet Traverse Premier is the top-of-the-line model that comes equipped with twenty-inch wheels, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross traffic alerts, power-folding mirrors, ventilated front seats, a navigation system, a heated steering wheel, an eight-way power front passenger seat, a lane-departure alert, and forward collision warning system.

2021 Chevrolet Traverse Engine Specs

Beneath the hood of the 2021 Chevrolet Traverse is a familiar 3.6L V6 engine good for 281 horsepower and 266 lbs. ft. of torque and comes equipped beneath the hoods of the LS and LT models. Just like the previous LTZ model that now gets replaced by the Traverse Premier model, the dual exhaust outlets bump the power to around 288 horsepower and 270 pounds-feet of torque.

As already mentioned before, the 2021 Chevrolet Traverse maxes its towing capacity to up to 5,200 pounds – unchanged from the previous model it is replacing.

With its smooth easy-to-drive nature, advanced technologies, and supercar-grade performance, the fresh Chevrolet Corvette 2021 just might be the world’s best sports-car bargain. A couple of its strengths include a bespoke interior, remarkable value, coupe’s roomy cargo area, comfortable and serene highway cruiser, racetrack-ready braking, awesome V8 power, and exceptional handling. Its date of release is expected early next year.

For 2021, the new Corvette gains numerous minor trim changes, power-operated trunk, a leather-wrapped flat-bottomed steering wheel, a front-view parking cameras for higher trims, adaptive suspension dampers, and the new race-inspiring Z06 C7.R Edition.

You definitely need to stay in Los Angeles if you want to get the real definition of cool cars. If it makes a handsome cut out here, it’ll be worth the stay. The Beverly Hills and Hollywood streets are laden with numerous specimens of extravagant cars including the Corvette. It’s especially notable that the previous generation Corvette didn’t really make a cut, however, the existing generation has quickly evolved and transformed into a common sight in the car-snob capital of the country.

2021 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible exterior

It beats logic as to how a car can get better than the Corvette. The previous model came equipped with a gonzo engine rated at 650 horsepower and an eight-speed automatic transmission system. The Corvette boasts of a sumptuous cabin that’s finally up to snuff, top-notch performance, upscale technologies and cutting edge features.

Unlike the prior models, the 2021 model has virtually no downsides and terming it an award-winning bargain can be considered appropriate. You can get it in either a soft-top convertible or a removable-roof coupe, with an automatic transmission system or the proper seven-speed manual.

The ‘Vette puts up s strong battlefront against its bogeys. They include the 2021 Porsche 911, 2021 Dodge Viper, 2021 Porsche Boxster and Cayman, and 2021 Nissan GT-R. In our own view, the car snobs of Los Angles and Santa Monica have finally got this one exactly right, the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette is simply awesome.

Available Trims – Chevrolet Corvette

Offered in both coupe and convertible versions, the new 2021 Chevrolet Corvette comes in base, Stingray, Stingray Z06 or Z51 variants. Moreover, the Stingray is split further into several sub-trims: 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT. In 1LZ, 2LZ, and 3LZ is the Z06 trim. The 2021 Chevrolet Corvette Zora ZR1 is reviewed separately.

Exterior Changes & Interior Colors – 2021 Chevrolet Corvette

Some of the features available on the 1LT sub-trim include xenon headlights, automatic climate control (dual-zone), telescopic-and-tilt steering wheel, a power-closing trunk, Brembo brakes, and leather upholstery.

Every Stingray comes equipped with heated and ventilated seats, auto-dimming rearview and side-view mirrors, a 10-speaker sound system, driver memory settings, a cargo shade, parking front-view cameras, and side bolster adjustments.

The Z06 comes with a unique front grille, a sport-tuned suspension, a supercharged engine, heads-up display, unique exterior and interior accents, a carbon-fiber hood, larger brakes, enhanced front splitter, and wider rear and front fenders.

2021 Chevrolet SS Sedan review

The new 2021 Chevrolet SS comes with a remarkable capable handling, thrilling V8 performance, an available manual transmission system, a well-equipped interior with passenger space, and powerful brakes. Its release date is speculated to occur in the middle of 2021.

For 2021, the SS appeals with its upscale technologies and performance and not to mention the available six-speed manual transmission system and adaptive suspension dampers. It comes based on the existing Commodore VF platform and shares some features with its warmed-over G8 GXP brethren.

As such, the SS sedan comes with a smoother ride, revamped interior and exterior surfaces, and offers precision dynamics. However, things remain as before under its hood with the vehicle coming equipped with 6.2L V8 powerplant, which isn’t a bad thing considering the same engine was equipped in the previous-generation Corvette.

2021 Chevrolet SS Sedan side view

As much as the SS may appear to impress, and don’t get me wrong it does, the segment offers a couple of matching or even better alternatives worth considering before finally bowling to the SS. They include 2021 Dodge Charger, 2021 Chevrolet’s own Corvette, and 2021 Taurus SHO.

Engine Specs – 2021 Chevrolet SS

2021 Subaru WRX review

When you take the 2021 Subaru WRX for a test drive, you can tell right away that it is made of the right ingredients. It comes with a standard all-wheel drive system, has a sharp handling, and has the blast of a turbocharged engine. What’s even more, it offers an impressive acceleration, has superb steering and handling abilities, and comes laden with many premium safety equipment options. For an affordable price point, the new model offers the same heaps of power as the model it is replacing. This is a vehicle that has been created with performance as its center-piece even for the base model. Acceleration is stupefying and is below the 6-second mark for a 0-60 dash.

Even with such an electrifying performance behind the wheel, the 2021 Subaru WRX still manages to offer a fun driving demeanor thanks to the seamless combination of features such as a standard all-wheel drive that offers the much needed traction when the road gets twisty, nimble handling, and a precise steering feel. Opting for the 2021 Subaru WRX STI simply amps up the ante.

The dashboard layout has been created with the driver at heart, with the audio and climate controls placed in such a manner that is driver-oriented. But even with such a drastic improvement over the previous model, the new model is still quite noisy especially at high speeds. Who cares anyway! – depends on what you’re after though.

Some of the available competition includes vehicles such as the Mitsubishi Lancer, Ford Focus ST/RS, Volkswagen Golf GTI, and the Mini Cooper JCW.

2021 Subaru WRX Release Date & Price

Rumors allege the new model comes this fall, at least according to latest media and pundits’ reports. 2021 Acura RDX Release Date, News & Specs

2021 Acura RDX review

With ample legroom, fuel-efficient V6, competitive price, and lengthy standard features, the new 2021 Acura RDX undoubtedly offers buyers a solid choice for their hard-earned cash. Its release date should be expected in the fall of 2021.

A first for the RDX include a new optional touchscreen interface, brightened interior, freshened LED taillights and headlights, and grille. Others include a blind-spot monitoring system, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic wipers.

Boasting a sophisticated all-wheel-drive system and a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the RDX made an unprecedented rebound onto the scene as Acura’s high-tech wonder kid. However, it didn’t resonate well as Acura had hoped for, so three years ago, the Acura design engineers put in extra effort to make it a conventional small luxury crossover. AS expected, the RDX quickly became the trending model for Acura and even ranks highly on our favorite list.

2021 Acura RDX exterior

For 2021, the trend is expected to continue judging from the changes and redesigns that have been made on the vehicle. To start off with, it comes with high-tech driving aides previously a reserve for luxury-branded vehicles, and which was conspicuously missing on the previous RDX models. Also, we are pleased to see top-rated safety features, for instance, a blind-spot monitor, a forward collision warning system, lane assist, and adaptive cruise control.

And apart from the added high-tech features, we still like some unique features previously available on the RDX. On offer this year, is a lone engine that offers better EPA fuel economy ratings thanks in part to the cylinder deactivation system. Interior wise, things only get better, it comes with a comfortable and spacious cabin that makes every day driving a pleasurable experience.

Despite this review holding the RDX in high regards, it still comes with some few faults just as any vehicle we have reviewed. Generally, for 2021, the new Honda Fit returns unchanged.

2021 Chrysler 200 Release Date and News

2021 Chrysler 200 review

With a bespoke interior, handsome looks, and improved handling and precision, the new 2021 Chrysler 200 has what it takes to get to the top. Some of the pros include an easy-to-use interface, a high-quality interior, an available AWD drive system, excellent safety test scores, and a strong V6 engine. Its release date should be expected at the beginning of next year.

Install for you in the new model is a new 90th Anniversary package, a few exterior and interior tweaks, and a rearview camera for the Limited trim model. For starters, the 200 underwent a thorough redesign only last year and will definitely prove to be among the best in the mid-size sedan segment.

A lot of effort has been invested in the new 200. Long gone is the fuddy-duddy persona of the previous model, and its place is now an elegant, smooth and crisp look that allows the vehicle to stand out from the rest of its rival zombies.

2021 Chrysler 200 exterior

Interior wise, Chrysler has invested a lot of soft-to-touch materials, and upscale technologies. For instance, inside you’ll find an easy-to-use 8.4” infotainment system which is undoubtedly one of our favorites.

Performance wise, Chrysler has equipped its base model with a four-cylinder engine that, according to us, is unfortunate. However, we like the 3.6L V6 engine that offers best of the bunch performance and fuel economy ratings.

Despite of the efforts, the 200 still lags behind on certain fronts including an overly firm ride, reduced interior space, less impressive exterior styling, and an underwhelming four-cylinder engine performance.

Available Trims – Chrysler 200

The five-passenger Chrysler 200 is available in a walloping four trims: base LX, Limited, S and the top-of-the-line C model. Both the 200 SRT and Convertible are reviewed separately.

Picking the 200 Limited model gets you a rearview camera, a six-speaker sound system, heated exterior mirrors, 18” wheels, a leather wrapped telescopic-and-tilt steering wheel, an eight-way power driver seat, a compass, and as sunroof.

Exclusive for the 2021 Limited model includes an 8.4” touchscreen interface, special floor mats, a sunroof, 90th Edition optional package, and all the contents of the Convenience package.

Optional equipment includes a satellite and HD radio, smartphone app integration, an 8.4” touchscreen interface, and an upgraded instrument panel.

At the helm of the trim lineup is the luxury-themed 200C model. It comes standard with 18” wheels, a six-way power front passenger and driver’s seat, driver memory settings, a 115 V household-styled power outlet, leather upholstery, and an 8.4” touchscreen display.

Engine Specs – 2021 Chrysler 200

A standard 2.4L four-cylinder engine good for 184 hp and 173 pounds of torque is available as the base engine. The 3.6L V6 engine is available as an option for the Limited, S, and C trims and is rated at 295 hp and 262 pounds of torque.

Both the front-wheel-drive and a nine-speed automatic transmission system are standard. The all-wheel-drive system is optional. To sweeten things up, Chrysler featured the Sport mode for the V6-powered trims that provides a slightly heavier steering effort and sharpens up the transmission and engine responses.

During our test drive, the S trim was able to sprint effortlessly to 60 mph in just under 6.2 seconds.
