2016 Lincoln MKT

In case you are shopping for a 2016 Lincoln MKT, it’s likely because you want something unique and you have taken a shine to Lincoln’s bespoke styling. Love it or hate it, the MKT’s melodramatic roof line aides it in standing out in the sea of other luxury SUVs with three rows of seating. Once settled inside an MKT, you will find that the big Lincoln’s interior build quality and materials are on par with most of its luxury brand competitors. The vehicle is also well-insulated, and the intense quiet adds to the plush, cosseting passenger environment especially on long riding expeditions.

Feature in its high-level of standard equipment and technology, convenience and comfort features such as the automated parallel parking, full suite of advanced safety features and the heated/ventilated 2nd-row of seats, and the 2016 Lincoln MKT delivers on its extravagance promise. Despite the vehicle being a large, three row crossover, its performance is pretty amazing, too. The 2016 Lincoln MKT suite of InCar entertainment, convenience, and safety features are expected to offer exemplary example of how a luxury vehicle ought to be.

The vehicle, just like many in the luxury segment, will have to contend with others in a fierce battle. Truth be told, the new 2016 Lincoln MKT is up against stiff competition. Leading the competition against the Lincoln MKT are the likes of Audi Q7, Acura MDX, Infiniti QX60 and Buick Enclave. The vehicles offer similar or better performance and not as much of fastidious electronic control interfaces. You can also check out Ford Flex, essentially the same vehicle as MKT, but with a different styling and a lower price tag.

2016 Lincoln Navigator Concept

Given the utter variety of utility vehicles and SUVs on the current market, it shouldn’t be a surprise that full-size luxury crossovers like the forthcoming 2016 Lincoln Navigator currently occupies just a tiny fraction of it. The Lincoln Navigator caters only to a very explicit types of users who want three rows of seating configuration, lots of room and the ability to tow anything on the vehicle like a boat, in a vehicle known for its American nationalistic demeanor.

The vehicle comes with a substantial refreshment over the previous year, the 2015 Lincoln Navigator brought in an appealing makeover and a powerful engine during its debut and marked a major evolution for future Navigators. For 2016, there will be a major overhaul in terms of the infotainment system. Also, there will even be a stronger case to be deliberated for the large Lincoln SUV in case it fits within your preferences.

A new novelty that fix some of the previous flaws in usability issues with the MyLincoln Touch Interface is the BlackBerry powered Sync 3 touchscreen electronics interface. The extoled feature also features an intuitive pinch-and-swipe functions that mimic a smartphone ease of use, while matching the excellence of MyLincoln Touch. However, only time will tell if it will go down well with its conservatives, but based on our initial impressions, Sync 3 seems to be a real step in the right direction. Shoppers should also consider other alternatives before finally giving in to the amazing 2016 Lincoln Navigator. The two main arch rivals are the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class and Cadillac Escalade.

2016 Lincoln Continental Interior Concept

Here we are, after a bunch of rumors, we can finally see in person, what the North Star vehicle has to offer, in a form of 2016 Lincoln Continental. This is practically, if I am not mistaken, a tenth generation of Lincoln Continental.

Review of 2016 Lincoln Continental

It started way back, in 1940’s. That first generation of Lincoln Continental was created for Henry Ford’s son, Edsel Ford. It was a convertible style, huge car. It had that external spare tire mounted on the rear end.

Throughout the history of this car, there were all kinds of designers, ideas and principles guiding those men and women behind the drawing board. But in the end, the final product never lacked comfort, luxury and power. Every time the new version comes out, it comes with something changed following the trail crumbs of global opinions and the needs of the car markets.

Everything was on the right path, but it was suddenly discontinued in 2002. All the plans were abandoned because of the global economy crisis, until this year. Suddenly it is like nothing actually happened in the past decade.

We already did some research about this vehicle in the past, and wrote about that. That little research of ours did nothing wrong, and we were right almost about everything, and yet, even with our imagination, we couldn’t have imagined what we saw, this week, on the New York Car Show.

Important thing to mention is that you shouldn’t believe everything you see on the Internet. There were some pictures going around, with the vehicle that should represent the Town Car version of 2016 Lincoln Continental but be assured that, even this is a concept car. Maybe in a couple of years we can expect the Town Car, but for now this is more than enough.

In this article, we are going to complete our previous review, with this new information we have.

2016 Lincoln Continental Exterior

I can actually imagine 2016 Lincoln Continental exterior to be a role model for future car designs. We already imagined that this will be a big car, with a modern design, but this…

As soon as you approach the car with a key it detects you and greets you with LED headlights and the North Star symbol illuminating the car like a spaceship, with style. Doors supposed to have no handles, and everything is automated. It uses some kind of E-latch system which should make car doors more silent.

That actually made the exterior design even more slick. Actually every single detail on the exterior, from headlights, taillights, huge 21” rims, metallic blue color and panoramic roof has been made to show the luxury of this car, even before we’ve been able to get in and actually see how it really looks from the inside.

I heard some some rumors about spy photos (with black new Lincoln Continental on them) , but personally I didn’t saw such pictures.

2016 Lincoln Continental roof

Like it wasn’t enough, 2016 Lincoln Continental interior amuses you to the point you want to turn on the ignition and drive to an unknown destination, just drive and never get out.

When I was little, I use to sneak into my grandfathers caddy and just pretend that I can drive. I wanted to do that in this car but that security was too big for me. I mean, one thing is to write about all that leather that we expected but this was ridiculous.

I had an impression of total commodity and freedom in the same time. There were no cheap plastic buttons, although there were a lot of buttons. It even has one control display on the central part of a dashboard.

Back seats were like a vacation in a presidential suite. On a push of a button, aluminum table automatically comes out from the central part, where you can place your champagne glasses. And the front seats have 30 adjustable positions! The seat is practically made to mold itself by the shape of your body. If that is not comfort, I don’t know what is.

2016 Lincoln Continental Specs

Supposedly Lincoln Continental 2016 specs are incomplete at the moment. Every time we asked about the power output or about the transmission, the only answer we got was:”It is a concept”.

So. yeah, information is still incomplete in some segments. What we know for certain is that it is going to use the exclusive version of 3.0 liter EcoBoost V6 engine. It is going to have an automated cruise control assist and pedestrian detection system.

They are actually saying something about the completely automated vehicle but for now, that kind of talk is still a sci-fi.

We expect the 9 speed automatic transmission combined with AWD, but every single person out there has its own opinion on that matter, so we are going to stay neutral in this one.

2016 Lincoln Continental Release Date and Price

And the production is scheduled to begin in 2016. But it is more than obvious that this car is far from a just a concept car, it is more like the car ready for production. Ford is not giving information about the 2016 Lincoln Continental Release Date and Price so easily. So, yet again, nothing is certain. We can expect that this kind of luxury could easily make the price to go sky high.

2016 Lincoln MKX Release Date

A couple of years ago, Ford made a long term plan and presented it to the wide audience. Essentially they want to broaden their production and quality of it, until 2020, and before all that to concentrate on the production of this particular vehicle, 2016 Lincoln MKX, and its release date was set for 2015 Detroit motor show. Right there, we witnessed the history in making when the company finally presented it, in all its beauty!

Back in 2014, on one of their stages, Ford presented the basic concept of the vehicle. Don’t get us wrong, it looked spectacular, totally different from anything we ever saw on a crossover, but it was simply too good to be true. Two months ago, it all became a reality. We could touch and feel, see and enjoy in every detail of that vehicle.

It was a spitting image of that concept car we saw a year ago, with a few minor differences. From the pictures we provided, you can see where Ford is going to, and the bright future for their new designs.

2016 Lincoln MKX Exterior

Every boundary we had before is now crushed, with this new design of 2016 Lincoln MKX exterior. Every box-like shell now looks ridiculous. They changed that old look with this futuristic design we could see only in Hollywood, and nailed it!

2016 Lincoln MKX grill

In front you can notice that split wing grille and slightly angled headlamps that look beautiful. The 2016 Lincoln MKX Exterior features with a slopping roof, taillight that goes all around the back, massive rear fenders and redesigned rear apron.

And the rectangular mufflers look awesome.

2016 Lincoln MKX Interior

Ford was not too proud, not to see the good things on their competition. They saw everything good and actually adopted it in their 2016 Lincoln MKX Interior. It has all the technological upgrades, fine leather for additional comfort and all the safety features one good crossover needs.

2016 Lincoln MKX seats

Is inside of the cabin made of wood? NO!
Is it made of metal? Plastic? NO!
Everything inside is covered with fine high-grade leather. Making the comfort in this car really top notch.

2016 Lincoln MKX steering wheel

Revel sound system is yet another jewel on this crown, and together with 22 settings of adjustable seats, makes the overall impression fly through that leather covered roof.

Not to mention the 360 degree camera, automatic parallel and perpendicular parking, pre collision assist, etc… With all those upgrades, 2016 Lincoln MKX is becoming one of the safest vehicles to drive.

Engine of 2016 Lincoln MKX

Beast beneath the hood actually has options. You can choose which beast will you buy as 2016 Lincoln MKX Engine. There are two options.

2016 Lincoln MKX front side

First options includes a 3.7 liter V-6 engine, with 300 HP and 280 Pound-feet of torque, which was used in some of the previous models. It is not a bad engine, but (there is always that “but”) most of the people didn’t like that option. Ford thought about that, and made a second option.

Second option for 2016 Lincoln MKX is the 2.7 liter, Eco-Boost V-6, with 330 HP and 370 pound-feet. That option has met a lot better reception in broad masses and is maybe more suitable for new, more economical, way of thinking.

In addition there are two more options, front wheel and all-wheel, for you, the buyer to decide.

Price of 2016 Lincoln MKX

Current 2016 Lincoln MKX price still stands at $38,900 dollars, but it is expected to go all the way up to 40,000 dollars.
