2018 Jaguar E-Pace Concept

It appears that the rumors about a 2018 Jaguar E-Pace have been all but confirmed. The car has been spotted wearing camo and doing rounds already and the numerous spy photos confirm it. This has been a desire by Jaguar for a long time already as they have been looking for a car to slot down below their F-Pace model. The baby F-Pace, as some are already calling the E-Pace, has been discussed like an Evoque vehicle so there were a lot of mistakes that the people made initially, but this only confirms that the model is going to carry the underpinnings of the same platform and give the baby SUV the ones form the Evoque.

The E-Pace is still a long way off from its release, but as the spy photos tell us, the model is pretty much done and is nearing its production model. Even with the heavy camouflage and the fact that they decided to mask it as an Evoque still leaves us with a lot of information that could make a clearer picture of the new Jaguar E-Pace. There are a lot of leaks and news already made and it is quite enough to give us an image on how the car is going to look like.

The best way to start is that the model is going to combine the looks of the bigger F-Pace and use the older platform of the Evoque car in order to make the basis for their 2018 Jaguar E-Pace. Even with the older type of the platform utilized here the model may prove to be a good choice and it might hit the nail right on the head with their choice. That said, there are still some major design cues that will be added and made as the time passes and as the release date nears, but till then check out the initial review of the Jaguar E-Pace 2018.

2018 Jaguar E-Pace Exterior

The 2018 Jaguar E-Pace is going to heavily rely on the design borrowed form the larger Jaguar F-Pace model. The front side of the car sees a similar  grille, air damns, headlights and corner vents, with the main difference that everything is made in a smaller scope. Body cladding are now placed on the lower portion of the fascia with contrasting inserts in the corner vents parts. Some clean lenses are used for the daytime running lights which replace the orange ones from before. The hood is also almost the same but has more pronounced lines then before.

The side of the car has identical mirrors as the F-Pace model but the fender vent is excluded. The sharp body liens form the F-Pace are also going to be left out here but towards the bottom part of the door there are going to be similar body lines which go between the front and back wheel arches. But the most significant changes have been saved for the rear end of the car.

The stationary window behind the rear doors is kept, but it is smaller than before. It is going to be a whole ten inches shorter compared to its F-Pace bigger brother. It will also come with new wraparound taillights which are also going to be an inch or two shorter. The overhang on the rear hatch is going to be kept and will give a sportier appearance to the car as well.

Interior Review 2018 Jaguar E-Pace

The interior of the 2018 Jaguar E-Pace is still going to need a lot of work. In fact, there aren’t many pictures of the inside available and the car has yet to release the offered look for the inside. But luckily there are a lot of information already available which can give us a glimpse on how it is going to appear. But the thing is for sure that the model is going to have the same kind of a design seen in an Evoque model. The layout and the basis is going to be taken from the Evoque, that is for sure, but it will use the details borrowed form the F-Pace of course.

Thus the steering wheel, the center console layout and the instrument cluster is going to be the same as in the Jaguar F-Pace and it will also feature a dual-cockpit design. There is going to be a biased infotainment screen making the majority of the center stack of the car with a high-sitting center console placed between the two front seats.

Engine Performance of 2018 Jaguar E-Pace

There are several options imposed when it comes to choosing a powertrain for the 2018 Jaguar E-Pace. First of all, based on the underpinning it might just transfer the Evoque’s engine. This means using the inline four-cylinder engine with an output level of  240 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque. That is not a bad idea actually, but Jag might also offer it with a updated version of that engine giving it a boost of 255 or 260 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. The European version will most certainly come with a couple of diesel options, like the TD4 diesel making around  150PS and 180 PS.

2018 Jaguar E-Pace Release Date and Price

The 2018 Jaguar E-Pace is still a long time away from its production and may take a lot to come out. As they are labeling it as a 2018 model, the car might get a release date around the end of next year or the beginning of the 2018 season. In fact the price is going to be between $30,000 to $35,000 range, so there are some good news as the pricing is almost familiar.

2016 Jaguar XE

The upcoming new 2016 Jaguar XE comes as an all-new model. Jaguar, under new ownership, has made a fascinating comeback across the luxury vehicle spectrum. The automobile giant has once again reinforced its classical positions and rolled out novelties like the F-Type. This has also shown its ambition to conquer new segments. With the 2016 Jaguar XE, the brand will be turning to the bread-and-butter segment of small sport-luxury sedans with Audi A4, Mercedes-Benz and BMW 3 series taking the front lead. We can all reminisce how Jaguar tried this once before unleashing the X-Type, a rather decent vehicle which, unfortunately, got dismissed by Jaguar’s shoppers and faithful alike as a tatted-up Ford vehicle. However, this time round, the British automobile giant has both manufacturing and momentum on its side. As is the norm with our reviews, it is imperative to check out other matching vehicles out there. First on our list is the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C Class, which will certainly offer ruthless competition to the 2016 Jaguar XE. The latter rival comes with a dynamic performance and exquisite design, while the former is equally competitive to both the C-Class and the XE. Other vehicles worth checking out would be the Lexus IS 250 and Infiniti Q50, they come as fine sports sedans with top-of-the-line luxury equipment and materials.

Price & Release Date – 2016 Jaguar XE

The upcoming new vehicle is expected to grace our showrooms the next spring. It is still early to speculate its price, however, we keep constantly updating our posts so check it back at a later date for the pricing details.

Engine Specs – 2016 Jaguar XE

Under the hood of the new “baby Jag,” as its apt to become known, will be several engines. It will be unleashed with two distinct models: XE 35t and XE 20d. The XE 35t trim model will come with a supercharged 3L V6 engine beneath its hood. This engine will be able to yield around 340 hp and 332 pounds of torque. This power will consequently be transferred to the wheels through the 8-speed auto transmission system with paddle shifters. Also, the same combination comes alive in the superb Jaguar F-Type.

2016 Jaguar XE system

According to the automaker, the 2016 Jaguar XE 35t is able to whip from 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds, which is amazing whilst considering other models in its segment. The top speed is capped to 155 mph. On the other hand, the 2016 Jaguar XE 20d will focus entirely on fuel economy with its 2.0L 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine that is able to crank out 180 hp and 318 pounds of torque. It will be mated to an 8-speed auto transmission system. All of the models mentioned above will be offered with the RWD system as standard drive system, while the AWD will be offered optionally. We are yet to receive official EPA ratings from Jaguar for either models. In light of this, we still expect the diesel engine to aim for 37 mpg w/combined returned by its BMW arch rival, BMW 328d.

Both the models named above will be offered in three trim levels: Premium, Prestige and R-Sport. The R-Sport will come featuring 20” wheels, rear spoiler and performance-oriented suspension, larger front air intakes. The features will highlight its sporting intentions at first glance. Coming standard on both the R-Sport and XE 35T models will be a sport suspension in combination with performance-oriented settings, while the XE 20d will feature comfort-oriented ride equipment. Also, optionally provided on the R-Sport and Prestige trim models will be the Adaptive shocks. Moving forward, the automaker is be expected to expand the North American XE line-up with both a manual transmission (anticipated to be provided with both a V6 and a diesel powerplant) and a turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine. This will match the same configurations of the European versions.

Exterior Photos & Interior Changes

The new 2016 Jaguar XE seems to derive its inspiration from the minimalist, clean function found in the present Mercedes-Benz and Audi cabins. You should anticipate plenty of suede and leather to adorn its seats, touch points, panels, with gloss black, wood and aluminum veneer accents. More info on caranddriver.

The center stack also stands out with its no-nonsense affair that is anchored by a row of conventional buttons for climate control, an 8” touchscreen display for entertainment, and Jag’s increasingly permeating rotary gear selector. Also, Jaguar’s InControl multimedia system promises a better-off graphics and quicker response times, both welcome enhancements to Jaguar’s present units that feel enigmatically ancient among the intricacy of Jaguar’s current line-up. Other XE’s tech conveniences include a smartphone app integration, Bluetooth audio streaming, a Wi-Fi hotspot and a top-rated Meridian audio system. An optional laser and heads-up display will be able to relay information including navigation and speed.

2015 Jaguar F-type Coupe

The one thing that could save and bring the Jaguar on the right, and well deserved, trajectory is certainly a 2015 Jaguar F-type Coupe. With the combine leadership of the newly appointed highly educated, experienced executives and Indian conglomerate Tata. That cooperation brought to us this masterpiece of modern engineering. It surely has some flaws, and we are going to get to it later, but the overall picture is… it is just jaw dropping. Everything you can hear and feel in this car is dragging you deeper and deeper into those leather seats, and making you feel the need for speed.

2015 Jaguar F-type Coupe Exterior

I can freely say that this car is a complete experience and one of the most beautiful cars ever made. Perfectly shaped aluminum chassis, delicate roofline, retro inspired design, etc. Let’s be clear on this one, this car has been made to be a true nemesis to the Porsche 911. Driven with that knowledge, one can clearly see where was the Jaguar going with this one, even with the 2014 model Roadster. This one is not so different, except of course, the solid roof and the bigger trunk, yet the feeling remained the same.

2015 Jaguar F-type Coupe Interior

As soon as you get in this car, you love it. The entire 2015 Jaguar F-type Coupe interior is covered with double stitched leather, even a dashboard. It has dual zone auto climate control, heated and ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, steering wheel multimedia controls, Bluetooth hands free, central display with touch screen where you can control every aspect of your vehicle etc.

Engine of 2015 Jaguar F-type Coupe

The basic 2015 Jaguar F-type Coupe engine option is a copy of what they had in a Roadster version. First one in the line is 3.0 liter V-6 engine with 340 and 380 HP and 332/339 lb-ft of torque. Just like in a Roadster version, coupe line up best is a supercharged 5.0 liter V-8, with 550 HP and 502 lb-ft of torque. With those numbers, badge on this car changes to 2015 Jaguar F-type R Coupe.

Basic option gives you the acceleration from 0-60 in 5.1 seconds and the maximal speed of 161 mph. On the other hand the S model can do from 0-60 4.8 seconds and reach the maximum speed of 171 mph, while the R version can do it in 4.0 seconds and achieve the maximum of 186 mph.

2015 Jaguar F-type Coupe grill

Transmission in all versions is an 8 speed automatic and it does the job really nice. It has stiff suspension, so stiff that you can easily know when goes over a pack of cigarettes or even a match stick. It gets better as you speed up, but there is no point in this kind of suspension on a chassis this good.

But that sound! Like you have a complete orchestra in the car ready to rock. You even have an option to make it more sporty and loud on a push of a button.

Jaguar F-type Coupe Price

Well here is where the stuff gets bad. The price, even a year since it was first released, stands at about 65,000 dollars for a V-6 3.0 liter. If you want to buy 2015 Jaguar F-type R Coupe you will need 99,000 dollars, and if you want some additional gadgets you are going to face with the price over 100,000 dollars. So it is more pricy than the competition… But this nevertheless this car lives up to the hype. It a sport luxury coupe, everybody would want.
