With a quiet cabin, carlike road manners, an efficient base engine, and plenty of passenger and cargo space, the new and redesigned 2021 Ford Edge should certainly be the ultimate choice for anyone shopping in the mid-size crossover Sports Utility Vehicle segment. And shoppers who’d love to go a notch higher should opt for the sizzling Sport model that comes with a breathtaking suspension tuning provided by the powerful turbocharged V6 engine. Its release date should be expected sometime next year.
Some of the selling points include many available technology features, a powerful sport model, an efficient base engine, quality cabin materials, spacious cabin that can accommodate up to five people and their belongings, and sophisticated ride quality.
See, the Edge is a vehicle that traces its roots back eight years ago when the first wave of mid-size crossover SUVs made their debut in the automobile scene. At the time, the first batch of trending SUVs combined handling and driving dynamics of a sedan with that of the wagon space, and the SUV height to produce a vehicle that many loved and continue to date.
Within the years leading to the 2021 model, Ford has continued to impress with its raft of redesigns and changes that have kept the Edge fresh and competitive in the market. For 2021, buyers should expect a new stiffer body structure and a sophisticated rear and front suspension system. And as a result, Edge now delivers an upscale and pleasant driving experience.
Despite the competitiveness the new 2021 Ford Edge promises, there are other alternatives in the segment that might give it a hard time selling. They include Kia Sorrento, Nissan Murano, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and 2021 VW Touareg.
