The new 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe returns better than before thanks to a myriad of changes that traverse various facets of its construction. Chevy has managed to offer its popular model a new lease of life again by improving its cabin construction, fuel economy, and interior quality among a host of other upgrades. Covered in this review are areas such as its release date, price, engine specs, and exterior/interior redesigns.
The Chevrolet Tahoe 2021 is unabashedly truck-based. It is among the last surviving vehicles that are yet to shift to the popular car-based platform that its peers have been migrating to. Yet, the Tahoe seems to be doing just fine with its current mechanical underpinnings if the previous sales volumes are anything to go by. What resoundingly keeps the Tahoe relevant in its class is perhaps its combination of classic construction underpinnings with those of the future.
Akin to its peers, the Tahoe is spacious, serious in off-roading, stout towing figures, and offers ample power beneath the hood. The new model hasn’t had major redesign changes over the previous model, however, Chevy has offered its latest model with several upgrades that it hopes will help revitalize its position in its class. It now comes with a quieter cabin thanks to plenty of sound deafening materials placed strategically in its cabin.
The Chevy Tahoe interior also boasts of high-end materials and latest technologies. It is also spacious just like the model it is replacing. The third-row seat is ample even for young adults – a rarity for some models in this class whose third-rows are often times an ‘afterthought’.
Beneath the hood, it comes with a 355-horsepower – generating V8 engine that manages to offer a healthy towing capacity of around 8,600 lbs. But even with such a seemingly inspiring CV, the Tahoe seems to suffer from the truck-based syndrome: mediocre fuel economy ratings, high cargo loading height, ponderous handling, and poor maneuverability. Some of the rivals you could check out include the Toyota Sequoia, Ford Expedition, Honda Pilot, and the Dodge Durango.
2021 Chevrolet Tahoe Release Date & Price
According to latest rumors, the Chevrolet Tahoe release date should be expected sometime in the first half of 2021. The LTZ should be expected to go for sale for an MSRP starting from around $47,000 for the basic model. Leasing is available.

2021 Chevrolet Tahoe Exterior
The exterior returns virtually unchanged from the previous model year. This isn’t however to say that the Tahoe lacks its spark. The grille is menacing as before, as is the overall front stance. You can also expect eighteen-inch alloy wheels, a rear privacy glass, rear parking sensors, roof rails, automatic wipers, automatic high-beam headlight control, skid plates, and an optional power-retracting assist steps.
2021 Chevrolet Tahoe Interior
The interior is spacious, as previously mentioned above, and is a host to a plethora of technologies. While the overall refinement is wanting, comfort has been epitomized. Some of the equipment you can expect on its release date include tri-zone automatic climate control, a blind-spot mirror, cloth upholstery, an eight-inch touchscreen display, Siri Eyes Free capability, a rearview camera, a 110-V power outlet, a leather-wrapped steering wheel satellite and HD radio, five USB ports, an SD card slot, a CD player, smartphone app connectivity, a six-speaker sound system, forward collision warning, a media player interface, driver memory functions, front parking sensors, a heated steering wheel, hill descent control, ventilated front seats, an upgraded suspension system, a heads-up display, a 10-speaker Bose audio system, and driver-side auto-dimming mirror.
How to use Siri Eyes Free:
