2017 Borgward BX5 Review

Borgward is already set the offer its second model SUV as the 2017 Borgward BX5 is on its way. The model is going to be the second SUV vehicles produced by this company as the BX7 was the one which paved the way and introduced this company which was known in the past for making trucks to the SUV world.

Borgward is a German based company which had lots of success in Europe for making reliable truck vehicles. This was actually around fifthly years ago and the return was surprisingly not marked by a vehicle that they were known for but rather with a seven passenger SUV model dubbed the BX7. The model was introduced at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 2015 and was a real hit as they managed to incorporate all the necessary aspects inside this model.

This year the 2017 Borgward BX5 is going to be the second SUV model that they are producing and the vehicles was already spotted doing rounds wearing a heavily camouflaged outfit. The model is actually going to be officially presented at the Geneva Auto Show this year, with the release date coming next year. The BX5 is smaller than the initial BX7 and fits in the slot right beneath it. The models are actually a cooperation of the German and Chinese companies and their plan is to offer a three-vehicle lineup for the next year. With the BX7 already into play and with this announcement and review of the BX5, there is going to be another model offered, but more on that when the information become clearer.

2017 Borgward BX5 Exterior

The 2017 Borgward BX5 is going to incorporate quite an interesting design. The model is going to use some new headlights which are going to be largely differ rent than the ones seen on the BX7 model before. The same thing is with the grille, but in this case it is similar as far as the shape is concerned but it is quite different compared to before. It actually has a different slat configuration that looks great for this smaller car and they are also angled toward the sides and have much more chrome. The car is going to have an overall mundane appearance compared to the BX5 and is going to be a complete departure from the BX7 model which it bares small resemblance to.

But there are still lots of similarities that were kept, for instance the  same sculpted engine hood is kept here and the model is going to share the same muscular waistline. The rear end also has the same tailgate design that was used in the previous car and it also uses the same large trapezoidal recess for the the license plate. The taillights are different, the same as the headlights, but the bumper is going to be changed a bit and is going to have a similar look with only few changes.

Interior Changes

There are less information available for the inside of the 2017 Borgward BX5 than it was actually expected. The car has not been showcased officially on the inside, but still there are some things that are obviously going to be used. As the BX7 was a vehicle which actually had a great design as it offered a lot of premium details for a Chinese-built car. This is perhaps going to be the case for the BX5 and they plan to use an impressive amount of premium amenities, like leather-wrapped seats, soft-touch surfaces, some aluminum inserts and contrast stitching.

It will most certainly appoint a  12.3-inch infotainment system  which has an  Apple and Android connectivity and a WiFi hot-spot function. There is a possibility that this model comes with a more affordable package and only provide these kind of equipment as an optional offer. As the model is going to be offered in Europe, these features are going to be mandatory so expect to see them even in the base form.

Engine Specs

What the greatest news about the 2017 Borgward BX5 is that it is going to use the same underpinnings like the BAIC Senova X55, which is perhaps a model not that known for the European market as it is a Chinese-based model which comes with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. But the model is not going to transfer the engine as it was confirmed that the 2.0-liter four-cylinder is going to still be used as it was good in the first round for the BX7.

The model can create 221 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque and can do it from as low as 1,750 rpm. The BX5 is going to use a choice of a six-speed automatic and the seven-seed dual-clutch transmissions. The specs say an acceleration to 0-60 mph of about 9 seconds and a top speed of up to 120-mph.

Release date and price

The thing is that it is quite early to talk about the price of the 2017 Borgward BX5 as there are a lot of things that are unconfirmed that can affect the pricing of the car, particularly for the inside. This is all going to be much easier to assess once the release date comes and it will be officially released after the Geneva Auto Show. The release date is thus expected to be for the later part of 2017 and it will appear in Chine and Europe first with a possible US release date coming by the end of the year.

2017 Ford Flex Review and Price

The newest 2017 Ford Flex vehicle is coming out. But this model features only a mild remix of things that we got to see in the previous update for this car. As Ford has had a lot of things on their hands with the latest releases and models that are suppose to come out this and next year, the designing of the Flex took its toll. The model does not change dramatically and essentially looks as it previous incarnation.

The model was first released in 2007, featured for the first time at the New York auto show. The model actually went on sale in 2008 and was a refreshing new design that Ford offered for this segment. The next model cam in 2011 when the car received a larger updated building up on the success it had with the initial model. The 2011 design was showcased at the LA Auto Show and featured a three-bar grille and “FLEX” lettering which were placed instead of the Ford lettering but a more interesting update was the addition of a V-6 engine.

Next came the 2014 model which gave us a facelift to the previous version and is actually the model that the 2017 version copies form and based its design on. This is now an expanded version of that model which does not manage to expand with a whole lot. You can still get the six or seven seat versions and an option of a RWD or an AWD system. The price is pretty much the same but a little bit higher. Check out the updates done as viewed from this review and learn more new information about the release date.

Actually the greatest addition are the two new exterior colors that the model receives, Sunset Metallic and Oxford White.

The SE trim features halogen headlamps with autolamp feature, rear window defroster, power door locks, speed-sensitive front windshield wipers, black roof-rack side rails with a body colored roof.

2016 Pontiac Trans AM Exterior

The exterior of the 2016 Pontiac Trans Am is going to feature all the legendary parts of the 1977 version and combine them with the modern fifth-generation Camaro features. But as this is a modern version of it, the model is going to feature more rounded shapes and original details. The front end features a V-shaped nose and has a Pontiac badge and additionally combines with a twin grille and two horizontal vents in the bumper. There is a quad-headlamp configuration but this time offers rounded units, unlike the original which had square ones.

The side of the car sees most of the similarity with the legendary ’77 version transferred here. It uses the honeycomb wheels with gold highlights and has a similar front fender part. There is no wraparound windscreen though, as it is substituted with a quarter window like the Camaro has. There is a big trunk lid spoiler to the back with a wraparound bumper and wide taillights that have a horizontal cluster. There is a shaker hood and a T-top roof, which are essential parts for any Trans Am model.

The inside of the 2016 Pontiac Trans Am features a completely reworked Camaro interior to fit the look of the legendary model’s one. The door panels have gold “screaming chicken” graphics and the dashboard also has the gold top on it. The convince features have not been specified but as this models combines the elements taken from a Camaro car, expect to see some of them transferred form the latest Chevrolet Camaro model.

2016 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Interior Review

Making its debut at the Geneva Auto Show is the 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque model. All of the details of the car have been unveiled ahead of time and before its official showcasing so there are not many details that may be regarded as new or unknown for the car. Thus we do get to provide a full review for you with all the news available before the scheduled release date.

The Land Rover Range Rover Evoque brand has been introduced for the first time in 2012 as part of the compact-luxury-crossover  expansion of the market and was dubbed as an immediately luxury SUV. As the brand quickly became popular there was a slight update in 2014 in order to keep the model afloat and continue the popularity which has been brought on it. The 2016 model year is going to do the same as there are a few quirks that have been enhanced and changed for the brand not making any drastic moves at the same time.

The exterior of the car is going to make just a few changes and is not going to change a whole lot of the Evoque. The biggest news is actually the release of the new lineup of engines that the 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque is going to use. Sadly, although this rumor is true, none of the new engines are going to be available for the US market.

2016 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque is battling it out with the new version of the Mercedes-Benz GLA and the latest Audi Q3 which pose a great threat to the Evoque. It was a great car on its initial release but they still have to do something in order to keep it competitive.

The reshaped headlights are a nice new touch and the distinctive LED daytime running lights signature has also been added. The bumper has been reshaped as well and is wider while the wider tow-eye covers and added larger air intakes have also been featured on this car.

The slimline LED lights were renovated here as well and the grille also has a light refresh to it but not that much different compared to the previous version. It includes a horizontal new fine-mesh pattern, seen on the standard models, while the Dynamic trim  offers a hexagonal grille design with a more prominent mesh design.

The changes made to the inside are by no means revolutionary nor do they represent the next stage in the evolution of luxury car design, but are a welcoming addition as they do make the car up to date and keep its position in the market as a very competitive model.

2017 Aston Martin DB10 Exterior

The latest 2017 Aston Martin DB10 makes a perfect example of what the company has decided to go with and the design language they are planning to incorporate for the future after putting the VH platform to rest. The model still remains a recognizable Aston Martin car, although it looks completely different and does so by blending the new features with the trademark looks of the old DB9 model. The model retains the sloping hood along with the signature large front grill in its front. It manages to innovate it by adding a lower air dam  which results in a much more aggressive look for the car now.

The side profile of the 2017 Aston Martin DB10 showcases much larger and beefier wheel arches which exemplify a crisp look. Muscular shoulders combined with deeply sculpted sills with carbon-fiber side skirts are what makes the car so memorable now and what gives it its latest appearance. The front fenders have a deeper crease but the  trademark vent with upper chrome trim has been retained. The cabin is positioned lower and gives the car a sleek appearance as it sports a smaller quarter-glass area. The rear comes back with  short rear overhang and slim taillights. The car also gives us a metallic-gray paint job and some very unique 10-spoke wheels.

The interior of the 2017 Aston Martin DB10 looks quite amazing. As it was expected the car is going to use a bespoke cockpit and will replace the majority of the styling cues seen in the DV9 model. The traditional center stack has been completely removed and they have decided to offer a new kind of a model with the sorts of amenities added as well. The cabin has a much more cleaner look than anything else and manages to make a real fancy looking James Bond model.

The instrument cluster actually has some race car details as it uses some bigger gauges, sporting a design with one middle and two additional units on the side. The interior is completely covered with  fine leather  and is stitched by white threads and a Aston Martin steering wheel is no longer used as it has been substituted with a flat-bottom one with Alcantara grip areas. This might also provide insight for future Aston Martin models as for now people seem to like it and would like to see it used for many other cars coming under the banner of the British automaker.

2017 Subaru Outback Rumors

The 2017 Subaru Outback has received some updates for this year. The Outback is essentially a Legacy with a bigger rear end, and as the Legacy has already received an update, they are doing the same for the Outback and transferring most of the same updates to this car as well. The models look similar as the Outback has received some reworking on the outside and the Legacy has concentrated on making the interior a better place. Of course the Outback does not feature the coupe like styling due to its wagon exterior which is an expected choice.

The plastic cladding and the body-protective features that you would normally see in an Outback are still kept here and are going to be used this time as well and can be a good choice for when you decide to take the car for a ride out back.

The similarities between the Subaru Outback and the Subaru Legacy continue under the hood. The same type of an engine setup is going to be seen inside this car and it will do it a lot of good for the Outback to get this kind of an upgrade. Added is the CVT transmission and they do not plan to offer us a manual transmission choice any time soon. The prices and the release date for the latest Subaru Outback has been confirmed and you can read all about it in this review along with other specs and news about the car.

2017 Subaru Outback Exterior

The exterior design of the latest 2017 Subaru Outback is going to combine the classic wagon shape and a modern crossover design together into one. The car is still going to have a high ground clearance and a tall greenhouse which is going to give it a more of an SUV-like look. It is going to borrow certain elements from the Legacy but they are not going to become too dominant for the Outback. The front end is graced with a six-sided grille and also the large fascia part make the car look much larger than it actually is and the same goes for the side profile of the car which is pretty much owed to the plastic cladding the vehicle has.

The Outback Touring trim is going to features some added features and small changes for its 2017 version. This means a dark grey grille with matching gray wheels also finished with  bright, machined faces. The car is going to have low-profile roof rails making the visual height of the car that much larger. The range topping level of the car is going to be enhanced thanks to the chrome bits and pieces that are added as well which you can see on the door bottoms, roof rails and the front bumper.

Interior Changes 2017 Subaru Outback

The interior of the 2017 Subaru Outback is mainly borrowed from the interior of the Legacy model, but this is actually not at all a bad thing as the Legacy sports a very good and handsome looking inside. There are going to be optional wood and metal trims available as well as a possibility of adding navigation for your use and also leather seats as well.

The Touring trim is actually the only version which is available with the newly added color, called Java Brown and you can add it to the  perforated leather seats, armrests or door panels. The ivory stitching is a perfect way to contrast the color and teh dark look while it also comes with woodgrain accents and a piano-black trim for the switch panels. A standard feature is a headed steering wheel.

The seating setup is going to be the same for the 2017 version and it will still be able to seat five people and offer ample space for all of them using two rows of seats. The second row has a folds 60/40 style which actually allows more cargo room in the rear. The Outback has a very competitive cargo bay with enough room to compete even with some of the midsize models.

Engine of 2017 Subaru Outback

There are going to be two engine choices offered under the hood of the 2017 Subaru Outback. The engine variants are the same ones seen under the hood of the Legacy model and fit in the setup that we have here perfectly. The first choice is a  2.5-liter flat four-cylinder engine that has 175 horsepower at 5,800 rpm and 174 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm at disposal.

The second engine is offered for the 3.6R Limited trim and is the 3.6-liter flat six-cylinder that makes 256 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 247 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm. The CVT the only transmission available as there is no manual version this time as well but the car does use a Symmetrical AWD system as standard.

2017 Mazda RX-7 Concept Interior

The long expected vehicle has finally been confirmed and after all the rumors we are getting the 2017 Mazda RX-7 model. The model is going to see the successor of the popular brand continued finally as the people have been demanding to see the car once again into production. The confirmation came at the Tokyo Auto Show where the Japanese automaker showcased the RX-VISSION which is its RWD concept model which the RX-7 is going to be based on.

The KODO design language that Mazda has been using and incorporating in perhaps the best offer of vehicles to date has been put to great use here as it was expanded and built up in a more aggressive manner. And beside the design style there is also a confirmation of a new next-generation rotary engine also being offered with the newest car.

The release date actually relies heavily on when the production crew is going to make the Wankel powerplant possible. The date may be postponed and once all the kinks have been worked out with the engine we might expect to see the production model in the works. Keep reading the review in full.

2017 Mazda RX-7 Exterior Concept

The 2017 Mazda RX-7 is going to have a stellar design to it which is characterized by being extremely aggressive looking. There are going to be some features though which are going to change once the production car hits the pavement. A lot of the parts form the concept model do not seem to be possible for a full fledged production vehicle. For instance, the roofline is not going to be as low as it was and it will also allow more shoulder room by positioning it a bit higher.

There is going to be a less raked front windscreen, chrome window surrounds and visible B-pillar. Also added are some production door handles, multi-spoke wheels and a slightly larger grille on the front fender. All of this parts are still going to keep the initial features of the RX-7 as sexy as the production level showed it of being.

The front end does not only get a new grille design, it is also going to come with some production friendly headlamps which do look great and a different bumper design also. The horizontal slats seen on all current Mazda vehicles are going to be retained here and also the chrome surround as well but the grille is going to be a bit smaller in size.

The side intakes on the bumper are a bit larger but the splitter and the center section remain the same. The final part is the standard hood of all the Mazda models coming with the company’s emblem making the final product a very good one.

Interior 2017 Mazda RX-7 Review

The inside of the 2017 Mazda RX-7 is going to feature and clean and simple inside. The concept model that the RX-7 is being based on actually does not demand a lot of changes and reworking as it is already a near-production level design. There are only a few things that are going to be changed which include the instrument cluster,  the center console and the door panels. The center console is perhaps going to change the most but even there we do not expect to see a lot of things changed.

We do expect to see a standard center stack like in other Mazda cars with various buttons and knobs placed on it. The infotainment system is going to use a large display but we are still not sure whiten the touch screen is going to be atop of the dashboard or in it. Finally, there is going to be a multi-function steering wheel used which also has a much more comprehensive array of buttons and controls for it.

Of course, the Mazda RX-7 is going to add large amounts of leather and fine material. Expect the aluminum inserts to be added for higher trims but there is going to be a cut back on premium materials as they need to make the production version a bit affordable than it looks now. It is still going to have a two-tone combination of color elements and is being as sporty as it can be.

Engine Specs of 2017 Mazda RX-7

The engine is the biggest mystery of the 2017 Mazda RX-7 for now. As we are expecting a new rotary engine which is also being advertised as the next generation model here, we do not know when it is going to be made. This is the thing which is largely postponing the release date for the car as there are not instigations when the model might be finished. What we do know is that the engine is going to be called SkyActiv-R and it is going to be a Wankel  engine with some rumors of it being turbocharged.

They aim to take out a vehicle such as the Porsche Cayman so we do expect an output of no less than 275 horsepower. Also expect the acceleration specs to go as low as 5 seconds to reach 0-60 mph and a top speed of 150 mph. Also the developing rotary engine is going to achieve better fuel economy and CO2 emission figures which are going to make the car unmatchable in the market.

2017 Mazda RX-7 Release Date and Price

The release date for the 2017 Mazda RX-7  is still a long way off. There have been some instigations that it might appear as late as 2018 even though the car is labeled as a 2017 model. But we do expect it to arrive by the end of next year as the exterior and interior of the car is production ready and already capable of being produced, the only remaining question is the engine management. Expect the price to stack up to  $35,000 for the base unit.

2018 Jaguar E-Pace Concept

It appears that the rumors about a 2018 Jaguar E-Pace have been all but confirmed. The car has been spotted wearing camo and doing rounds already and the numerous spy photos confirm it. This has been a desire by Jaguar for a long time already as they have been looking for a car to slot down below their F-Pace model. The baby F-Pace, as some are already calling the E-Pace, has been discussed like an Evoque vehicle so there were a lot of mistakes that the people made initially, but this only confirms that the model is going to carry the underpinnings of the same platform and give the baby SUV the ones form the Evoque.

The E-Pace is still a long way off from its release, but as the spy photos tell us, the model is pretty much done and is nearing its production model. Even with the heavy camouflage and the fact that they decided to mask it as an Evoque still leaves us with a lot of information that could make a clearer picture of the new Jaguar E-Pace. There are a lot of leaks and news already made and it is quite enough to give us an image on how the car is going to look like.

The best way to start is that the model is going to combine the looks of the bigger F-Pace and use the older platform of the Evoque car in order to make the basis for their 2018 Jaguar E-Pace. Even with the older type of the platform utilized here the model may prove to be a good choice and it might hit the nail right on the head with their choice. That said, there are still some major design cues that will be added and made as the time passes and as the release date nears, but till then check out the initial review of the Jaguar E-Pace 2018.

2018 Jaguar E-Pace Exterior

The 2018 Jaguar E-Pace is going to heavily rely on the design borrowed form the larger Jaguar F-Pace model. The front side of the car sees a similar  grille, air damns, headlights and corner vents, with the main difference that everything is made in a smaller scope. Body cladding are now placed on the lower portion of the fascia with contrasting inserts in the corner vents parts. Some clean lenses are used for the daytime running lights which replace the orange ones from before. The hood is also almost the same but has more pronounced lines then before.

2018 Jaguar E-Pace spy shots exterior

The side of the car has identical mirrors as the F-Pace model but the fender vent is excluded. The sharp body liens form the F-Pace are also going to be left out here but towards the bottom part of the door there are going to be similar body lines which go between the front and back wheel arches. But the most significant changes have been saved for the rear end of the car.

The stationary window behind the rear doors is kept, but it is smaller than before. It is going to be a whole ten inches shorter compared to its F-Pace bigger brother. It will also come with new wraparound taillights which are also going to be an inch or two shorter. The overhang on the rear hatch is going to be kept and will give a sportier appearance to the car as well.

Interior Review 2018 Jaguar E-Pace

The interior of the 2018 Jaguar E-Pace is still going to need a lot of work. In fact, there aren’t many pictures of the inside available and the car has yet to release the offered look for the inside. But luckily there are a lot of information already available which can give us a glimpse on how it is going to appear. But the thing is for sure that the model is going to have the same kind of a design seen in an Evoque model. The layout and the basis is going to be taken from the Evoque, that is for sure, but it will use the details borrowed form the F-Pace of course.

Thus the steering wheel, the center console layout and the instrument cluster is going to be the same as in the Jaguar F-Pace and it will also feature a dual-cockpit design. There is going to be a biased infotainment screen making the majority of the center stack of the car with a high-sitting center console placed between the two front seats.

Engine Performance of 2018 Jaguar E-Pace

There are several options imposed when it comes to choosing a powertrain for the 2018 Jaguar E-Pace. First of all, based on the underpinning it might just transfer the Evoque’s engine. This means using the inline four-cylinder engine with an output level of  240 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque. That is not a bad idea actually, but Jag might also offer it with a updated version of that engine giving it a boost of 255 or 260 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. The European version will most certainly come with a couple of diesel options, like the TD4 diesel making around  150PS and 180 PS.

2018 Jaguar E-Pace Release Date and Price

The 2018 Jaguar E-Pace is still a long time away from its production and may take a lot to come out. As they are labeling it as a 2018 model, the car might get a release date around the end of next year or the beginning of the 2018 season. In fact the price is going to be between $30,000 to $35,000 range, so there are some good news as the pricing is almost familiar.
