The Cadillac Motor Car Division, founded from the remnants of the Henry Ford Company in 1902, is renowned for marketing luxury vehicles worldwide. The Escalade was first built in the year 1999 at Arlington, Texas and marked Cadillac’s first major entry into the popular SUV market.
After a successful run for four generations, Cadillac has announced the release of a sporty 2016 Escalade which boasts of several noteworthy changes and updates.
In short, the new model is safer, more convenient, user-friendly and just the perfect luxury car for every family to own across the globe. The USA Today has already quoted that “the once-unthinkable big Cadillac has now become indispensable.”
2016 Cadillac Escalade interior and exterior redesign
The elegant brand new Cadillac Escalade 2016 has been designed by Bob Boniface. It is based on the combination of sharp and polarizing styling with a splendid interior that is worthy of the price. This model will feature front and second row heated seats, standard power folding and third row leather trim.
In addition to high-quality leather one will find handpicked wood on central console, armrest and instrumental panel.
Some of these new features are the Advanced Diagnostics, Driver Awareness Package (Y86) which include Safety Alert Seat, Lane Keep Assist and Forward Collision Alert and IntelliBeam headlamps.
Other features include a Rear seat DVD entertainment system thereby enabling improved system speed and performance, faster and more accurate map loading and voice command execution, prompt service reprogramming, redesigned navigation interfaces, Bluetooth media, single press mute navigation voice/cancel route and expanded cities with 3D maps route information.
This time the makers of the 2016 Cadillac Escalade car have done away with two exterior colours- Crystal Red and White Diamond tintcoat, and instead they have introduced four different never-seen-before colours for its buyers namely, Red Passion Tintcoat, Crystal White Tricoat, Gray Silk Metallic and Dark Emerald Metallic.
The fourth generation of the 2016 Cadillac Escalade will debut with a new supercharger 6.2L V8 EcoTec FlexFuel engine. This engine is said to generate an output equivalent of 557 Hp and 542 lb-ft of torque.
The power train comes with a warranty of three years or up to 3,600 miles. Experts have predicted that with an acceleration of 0-62 mph (0-100 kmph) for 5.6 seconds, the engine will harness an estimated speed of 145 mph (230kmph).
In addition to this, the buyers can expect a new twin turbo 3.5L V6 EcoBoost gasoline engine with an output of 380 Hp and 460 lb-ft of torque.
The Escalade’s strong, pushrod V-8 has always been a part of its appeal, and in its current form motivates the SUV to nip the 0-to-60 dash in a shade under six seconds, which is nothing to scoff at for a three-ton, body-on-frame SUV.
