Finally a “James Bond” brand comes up with something anyone can afford. Well, almost anyone. This 2015 Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT is a car not special in anything. It is not a fastest, most beautiful car you will see. But there is something about it. Maybe a brand itself, maybe because of our childhood memories of a famous agent driving Aston Martin…
In this review we are going to mention a couple of good and bad things about the specs, looks and the future of this car.
2015 Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT Exterior
2015 Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT exterior has that sporty vibe. It is a car with a lot of history in its veins. All the way since the first “Vantage” in 1977.
The design is a ten years old, and practically nothing has changed since 2005, and the first new breed of “Vantage”. But do not mistake that for bad, hell no! Design of this car has always been beautiful. It doesn’t look outdated at all. It is a handmade vehicle so it brings some serious weight with itself, and it is a modern car. Even in this high tech world, handmade cars kept its place as something for “high class”.
It came with green chassis for testing with yellow stripe around the roofline and grille.
2015 Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT Interior
It looks like the marketing department has slept over this one. I mean, designers did the good job, and left us without all the useless makeup that clouds users mind. Everything is covered with the fine high grade leather and wood, and it looks pretty expensive and elegant. Seats are extremely comfortable, and placed perfectly for the ultimate enjoyment in driving (even for bigger and taller drivers).
There is nothing in this car that can pull your mind from driving. Crystal ignition key is placed high on the central console and it begs you to flip it. And when you do that, the magic of this car pulls you in, and keeps you safely in its roar.
Engine of 2015 Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT
Well this 2015 Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT engine is a real secret magic wand. The one thing, that this car makes, a perfect combination of design and engineering. As soon as you flip that key, and hear that roar of all the 430 HP, you are covered with adrenalin and the need for hitting that gas paddle, silencing all the pedestrians around you.
Maybe the design of the cabin is not that well, or it has been made like that in purpose, but you can hear the true roar of this machine inside. I mean, that raw sound of eight pistons hitting and growling is irreplaceable . That sound cannot be manufactured with the help of electronics like it is done nowadays in a mass production cars. Every single part has been handmade for a total pleasure of the driver.
The transmission is a 6 speed manual or 7 speed paddle operated “speed shift 2” automated manual transmission (single clutch).
The engine is 4.7 liter V8 with 361 lbs-ft of torque. And it goes from 0-60 in 4.6 seconds, which is not that good but the acceleration is not what it counts here. I know that this is an age of tuned cars, where everyone competes with the acceleration but this car is not like that. It’s for people whose cars are not their symbols of wealth but the branch of their souls, where they can find peace and strength once again.
2015 Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT Price
The entire time I was writing this text, the one thing never dropped out from my mind. The 2015 Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT price. Aston Martin has always built fast, beautiful, expensive cars, but this is the first one that is not in a “WW3” with a home budget.
That may be strange, but when we take the entire picture into the consideration: engineering, design of a car, and such good performance, its 99, 990 dollars of a factory suggested price for a stripped model (nothing that affects its performance), is a perfect bargain. For some. I just have to wait for money to drop from the sky or a rich distant relative, to buy one.
